  Dear Potential Golf Campers:
       On behalf of the Virginia Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and America Youth Golf Association, you are cordially invited to participate in the 2010 upcoming camps. The golf season is full of exciting golf camps and clinics. The camp age group is (8-13), and those new to the game are welcomed. Sign up early, space is limited! The camps are designed to maximize golf techniques covering chipping, sand bunkers, short and long irons, drivers and putting. Camps generally start after school is out, and the summer schdule comes out in May.
      AAU/AYGA is currently seeking volunteers for Coaches and Junior Outreach Program participants.

Golf Program Highlights

Golf Circuit Training Clinics

This fun structure enables junior golfers a better understanding of all the elements they will encounter on the course. The Training Circuit consists of chipping, putting, bunker play, and iron and driver practice.

Golf Club Building Clinic

This specific clinic is to explain the equipment used in the industry to give a better understanding of club structure and the design. The clinic will cover loft and lie, shaft material, and constructing of golf clubs.

Health and Wellness

The emphasis of this program is to raise awareness of the importance of health to our youth in today’s society. It includes a stretch regimen, and swing mechanics.

USGA

Covers the rules of golf, how golf is regulated, etiquette, courtesy to other players, and knowledge of the rules of engagement to maximize the fun of the sport.

Advance Golf Practice Session

Program includes one-on-one golf lessons that target troubled areas of ones golf game.

Amateur Golf Lessons

Lesson provides dedicated help in decision making while the ball is in play.

Playing Lessons

Both advanced players and amateurs will have access to playing lessons to better the outcome of a round of golf.
